Ho Sukta Tau

Very nice. I have enjoyed both of yr latest poems.

In addition to the fact that I like these poems, I would also suggest poet to watch some good comedy movie to lighten up bit :)

There will be some days in your life when you wont be agreeing with these words.

State of mind.

@Hasham: well i hope i dont :) but no matter what i'd always be able to relate with them. :)

great play on words
ﮨﻮ ﺳﻜﺘﺎ، ﺗﻮ ﮨﻮﻧﮯ ﻧﺎ ﺩﻳﺘﺎ
ﺟﻮ ﮨﻮﻳﺎ، ﻭﻩ ﻛﮭﻮﻧﮯ ﻧﺎ ﺩﻳﺘﺎ
also loved the emphatic closing verses

i am probably missing the point so please excuse my audacity. the third couplet begins: "na chaha tha, ..."; i wondered if it could be "na chahta, ..."?

sorry. ignore my question.
i get it.

thanks khany :)

i think "na chahta tha" would imply never wanting the object. "na chaha tha" carries the notion of wanting something that was never desired.

i like the sound of "WOH khonay na daita" better. But i wanna keep it "ussay khonay na daita" because that is how it flowed out of my mouth the first time, talking to some friend.

Your analysis of the poem is very much appreciated :).

you are welcome. the pleasure is mine :)

the substitution of 'woh' for 'ussay' was unintentional. i realize only now that i had inadvertently misquoted the verse possibly because i was writing it from memory.

for the 3rd couplet i suggested:
na chahta, aur tujh jaisa khud ko mangnay na daita
uss sukoon main, kaash khuda kau pukara na hota!

i.e. substitute chahta for chaha tha. but 10 minutes after i posted the comments the subtle difference in meaning dawned on me :) i am a bit slow. better late than never.
